Long time no bloggin'

So it's been over a year and no updates. I can honestly say that the longer I've waited the harder it got since I have this obsessive compulsive disorder which makes me want to keep everything done chronologically and systematically, which means I should start uploading pictures from June last year.. but I just can't be bothered anymore.. from now on I will just throw up random pictures and try to capture most of my experiences here, when I have time, and in no specific order what so ever! I will fight my OCD's ;D

so here follows a short summary of my year, sort of:

I went and saw the Berlin Festival..

With the lovely Kyria =)

And they had amazing plastic beer glasses there with handles!!

In Sweden I've also seen Powerplay perform on numerous occations, amazing 8-bit loveliness!

I've been on roadtrips searching for antiques and fleemarkets, fun fun fun ^^

Been to Wanås, again, more than once a summer, again =) Always just as fun, and with new people!

Went for dinners and gaming weekends in Lund with darling Becky :)

Had my sötnos Jeremy visiting me with his whole family for a while ^_^

The Siesta festival in Hässleholm was great =) Weather was awesome except for the Friday when it rained, however I had a migraine anyway so I stayed in. We watched a lot of great bands, met a lot of friends and celebrated Tobias' birthday at his parents place in Hässleholm ^__^

Some memorable moments from the Carnival in Lund, which only occurs once every 4 years. This was the first time I went to see it.

Every time there's a Lund Carnival they make their own special brew of beer. Called KARNEVÖL!

Me and Micke planned to have a movie night with Karg and Malin, however, when I was on my way home from work we got a blackout, ALL OVER OSBY! No power = no movie, so when Karg and Malin arrived we discussed what we could do. It was hard even figuring out how to make hot food.. since the stove or microwave was not working. Then we came up with the brilliant idea of buying a one-time bbq grill and have salad with some veggie burgers. It was raining and we left the BBQ:ing to the men. When I came around the corner of the house, I found the 'brilliant' placing of the grill the guys had come up with...

Karg was in a hole with an umbrella making sure the grill didn't get wet.

Today I went to Helsingborg for a girls gaming evening with Mona and Becky ^_^

It was Mona's birthday recently so me and Becky had prepared a gift for her, and since she loves pink, it was ALL pink! =D

She was happy to see all the pinkness haha ^_^

The box was filled with a bunch of pink stuff, among all this frame with a pink picture of the three of us ^_^

A new game we tried was The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, which was extremely cool! =D

Had a wonderful evening with Natasha, we started off by watching Ed Wood, the Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp about the worst movie producer of all times. It's hilarious, for you who haven't seen it, get it now! =D After I first saw that movie many many years ago I got curious of how bad the real Ed Wood movies actually were so I bought some of the old 'classics' of him, like "Glen or Glenda", "Bride of the Monster", "Plan 9 from Outer Space" etc, and yes, they are really C-R-A-P! Haha, but hilarious ^_^ We also watched the real "Plan 9 from Outer Space" while having some Shisha and through half of it we got bored and started to play scrabble! (ALFAPET!!) I won, of course ;D

It's been a wonderful christmas holiday! Have met so many friends and had a lot of fun. I am so happy to be home and finally done with all my studies!!! =D

My cat Lillfis was happy to see me, haha, and she had gotten pretty fat while I was away!

Annett & Gustaf was briefly home in Osby, now I am missing them, you guys should come home more often! And Annett, come have an exhibition in the Osby library ffs!!!!

Hanna spent weeks here with me, it was so much fun! I hope you will come back soon again, cause I miss you!!!

This year was really a fantastic christmas, full of traditions. Almost as soon as I got home from London to Osby Sweden my friend Hanna (Shuhan) from China came visiting me to spend christmas and new years here and experience the Swedish traditions ^_^

We had some baking with my Mom and Louice days before xmas. Hanna is now an experienced cook! And I have also learned how to make real dumplings! =D

THE DEAD WEATHER LIVE!!

Leah came in from Manchester this afternoon and I picked her up at the Victoria Coach Station, which is NOT easy to find it you don't know where it is! But I eventually found her there ^_^ We went for a pint and then back to my place.

This Friday we went to see The Dead Weather at HMV Forum in Kentish Town, and it was AMAZING! Way better than I had anticipated! Unfortunately Jeremy had my camera in his bad since I didn't bring a bag, and he stood further back with Tiffany, while I was in the very very front with Leah, right in front of Alison ;D But happily enough Jeremy took PLENTY of pictures, good boy ^_^ So here are some of them, enjoy!

Finally! I went to Portobello Market. I have been trying to get someone to go with me since I came back to London, but it has always been cancelled or I've been busy, but today I went there, and met up with Nicole, Tobias, Carro and Paula! It was a lot of fun, the weather was amazing! (You can't really tell from the Polaroid-pics though) ;D

I almost overslept in the morning, or I did, I was going to meet everybody at 10:30 at Notting Hill Gate station, but woke up at 09.55! I was up and dressed and out of my house in 10 minutes! 10:05, and I brought my makeup in my bag so I could freshen up during the tube-ride, but, of course I forgot the mascara.. so I ended up not really wearing any make-up.. Thank the creator for sunglasses, always shades my day ;D

Nicole & Tobias left sooner, and Paula and me went for a lunch. Next to the restaurant we saw this old Volvo, really cute ^_^ But a while later a French man came in his new Mercedes and drove in to it repeatedly! And didn't do anything about it, just walked away like nothing had happened... French people..

We found a little stand where they were selling home made cupcakes, and they looked so delicious that I just had to buy one, and for the record, it WAS delicious! with marshmallows on top ^_^

London architecture can be quite amazing.

After the lunch me and Paula found this AWESOME TEA ROOM! Where you could actually have a REAL afternoon tea! Tea with freshly home baked scones with jam and "whipped-cream-butter" (the thing my dad really loves) ;D It was soooo good and the place was so cosy and cute. The name of the place was "There are not enough Tea Rooms" or something like that, and it was run by asians! haha! But I'm happy about their initiative, and I agree, being London, capital of Britain, there are definitely not enough Tea Rooms...

There was an old mangler in the tea room as well. Paula and me had a discussion about what it was called. Almost the same in all three languages; Mangel in Swedish, Mangel in Finish (but they pronounce the G), and Mangle in English. I remembered the name only thanks to the old Stephen King movie, the Mangler haha ^_^

After leaving Paula in Alexandra's care I was going to go home to prepare for the party I was throwing. Of course public transportation have to start f-ing with me.. the bus just terminated at Edgware road, not giving an explanation, and so did the next one that I stood around waiting for, so I went to the tube-station, which was the wrong one, cause the Bakerloo line didn't go from there, so had to take delay line (also known as Circle line) back to Baker street to change. Tiring..

While at home Jeremy helped out and the place just looked awesome after some cleaning and lighting candles ^_^

After class and meetings in the morning I went for a lunch with Kristine at Pret A Manger, gotta love that place, everything is so delicious! ;D Especially if you are as hungry as we were, haha! After that I went home and had a well needed nap.

I later went with Jeremy and his visiting friends from France to school because our Japanese teacher wanted us to hold a presentation for the first semester students and all exchange students. I hate presenting >_<

Marie the scarf-lady found another use for her scarfs! Today she was wearing it in her hair instead! She's so innovative and clever this girl ;D

... I really should start bringing my real camera with me.. the iPhone's quality sucks big time.. especially at night or indoors.. =(

Despite our horrible experience at Ping Pong Dim Sum Restaurant this Saturday I was still up for trying it again when Olga and Ewa suggested dinner there after school. This time the perceived service matched the expected service, perhaps since my expectations had lowered since my last encounter, but I still had some good experiences previously so I don't know. It was good anyway! Haha, and look how much I've learnt from the Service Marketing class.. lol. We had great tea, this time with an even more blossoming flower, we were curious about how they actually make those flower-tea-balls that just blooms like that. They really look handmade.. kinda gross though that somebody might have been touching it before you're supposed to drink it o_O

Had a really cosy day today. Micke wanted to experience my everyday life here in London, which involves eating at the Thai Restaurant, Thai Rice, right outside Maida Vale Station, and ordering home delivery of Domino's Pizza, the Veg-a-roma thin crust with garlic and herb sauce =) We started by having lunch at the Thai Rice restaurant, it's quite newly opened and the interior design of the place is cool. Just look at this wall! I might want to do something similar back home in Sweden, either that or a rough brick wall.

After the lunch we took a walk through the neighbourhood where I used to live, Marlborough Place and Abbey Road, and we saw this cool old car on the way. It was there as an advertisement, and it is a really clever way to advertise because everybody stops and looks at it!

Here is the old synagog which used to be my neighbour. I miss my place in St. Johns Wood. It was a cute little studio flat, and the neighbours were extremely quiet, haha.

After the walk we went to The Vue cinema and watched "The Invention of Lying" which was quite a funny romantic comedy. In the evening Ai, Eien and their friend Aisha visited us and we had some wine and Domino's Pizza, they gave us the wrong sauce with it though so Micke did not get the full experience of the delicious domino's pizza that I always order.. =( But he still liked it!

Today we started off by having lunch at Roma's café. I tried their jacket potatoes, they were good, but not as good as the ones you get in Sweden.. ;D They have the freshest and best juices ever though! After that we head off to Kilburn High Street so Micke could see a Primark haha, it was crap, but at least he has experienced it now. Later we head off to Oxford Street so Micke could do some shopping, he found a pair of nice shoes, and I just got tired and annoyed by walking around on this horribly loud and crowded street.

We had booked a table at Ping Pong Dim Sum Restaurant at 8pm for 10 people, Alexandra, Shani, Kristine, Andrea, Marie, Annett, Gustaf, Micke, me and Luis who unfortunately did not show up =(. I have so far only had good experiences with this restaurant, but today was CRAP. We had the lousiest service I have ever experienced. The waitress did hardly even speak English, and we did not receive things which we had ordered in time, like our desserts that came after a 1,5 hour wait! At least we got to speak with the manager, and we were offered free drinks at the end as compensation =)

Our free drinks! They have really cool drinks at that restaurant. I think the best ones were Lime/Lemongrass/Vodka drink and the Lychee/Rose/Martini =)

After the dinner Kristine, Annett, Gustaf, Micke and me went looking for one more drink, but we ended up walking around in big circles for like an hour until we could finally find a place that did not charge like 10 pounds for entrance!

Except for the endless waiting at the restaurant it was a very pleasant evening with nice company =)

Today almost the entire Creative Management group went to Camden Town to see a venue, which Philipp had suggested. There turned out to be some complications, first of all it would be way to expensive.. but Alexandra, Luis, Dan, Kristine and me found ways to settle our disappointment, by going to MaxOrient and having loads of loads of cheap asian buffet and CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! Kristine did really love chocolate, I've never seen a bigger chocolate addict!

Once again I had an uncontrollable urge for popcorn, which lead me to the conclusion that going to see a cinema would satisfy my needs. So I called Marie! But instead of seeing a movie Marie came with the wonderful idea of getting a glass of wine at the Volunteer! It was nice, it is always nice to hang out with this lovely lady!

Once I got home I ended up chatting on Skype with Simon (Psilodump) until it was bright outside. We haven't talked in ages! So it was nice to catch up ^_^ and yes! I got sneak previews of his new album ;D Awesomeness!!

Have so much Japanese to catch up on.. I have a presentation on Thursday, and I have been sitting all day trying to translate facts about the Swedish Technological culture and industry into Japanese. It's haaaaaaard. Went to school for my Service Marketing class as well today, the school is really beautiful now when the leaves are turning red. I like autumn, the temperature is perfect and the trees are stunningly beautiful, I just wish I had time to talk long walks like I used to...

I just love Tori Amos, and I really admire her, she's just amazingly talented. Everybody should listen to this song, all of it!

My lunch at Roma's was delicious, I've never had a salad from there before, and I was pleasantly surprised! Rocket salad, radish, black olives, pumpkin seeds, cherry tomatoes, avocado, feta cheese and parmesan. Yummie! And of course I had my favourite freshly squeezed juice with Orange and Kiwi.

Annett invited me to come to her school, it was her first day and she was having a beer with all the new students at her Fine Arts school in South Kensington. Jeremy came along and it was fun to experience a different college in London with a completely different crowd of people. The student bar at her school had a view over Royal Albert Hall, our school's pub is not half as nice ;D then again, I haven't spent more than one or two times there, and that was during first semester... I heard they renovated the place..

Anyway, to sum it all up, I had a great evening, but Annett is still in possession of my jacket! haha, I'll have to see her again soon (not that I mind, I enjoy spending time with this lovely girl from my childhood times) ^_^

There was not much of sunshine today (I actually didn't check until now). At least that does not make me feel bad for not having even left my flat yet. I have been efficient though! OCD tendencies have completely taken me over today, I have cleaned my entire room in every little corner, so much it even smells of 'clean-ness'! =D I have also put on a couple of laundries. I feel so proud of my room right now that I have even taken some pictures of it. It might be interesting as well for some of you back in Sweden who does not know what my place looks like, so here you are, My Room:

I reluctantly woke up this morning, after having contemplated over today yesterday I was optimistic about getting up early and getting a great start on my day and having the energy to do all the things I didn't do yesterday. I think my optimism was based on the fact that it was around 5 o'clock by the time I decided to go to bed, watching ゴジラ (Godzilla), yes, the original Japanese movie from 1954. It sucks so bad that I still have not survived the first 15 minutes without falling asleep... but maybe that's a good thing! Every time I will need to go to bed early I could just play Godzilla and I'll be passed out within minutes! There's an advice for all of you, try it, I bet it will work!

Well after this cup of coffee I might be able to face the sunshine, if the sun is even shining, I actually don't know... my blinds are still down.

My darling friend Ekaterina, she looks fucking hot in my shades! We had a lunch with Jeremy and Tim and after having persuaded Kate & Tim into buying a Wii instead of a puppy we went to GAME and bought one! I spent all afternoon in Canary Wharf at Kate & Tim's place (which was unbelievably amazingly beautifully located) and we installed and played Nintendo Wii all day and had yummie yummie Chinese food! Even the bus ride home was extremely enjoyable since it took me past beautiful scenarios of London which I yet have not seen or been to, such as St. Paul's Cathedral! Thanks for a great day!

I have seriously not played monopoly since I was about 12 years old. But tonight I was invited to Alexandra and Luis' place to play Monopoly! It was a new 'high-tech' version of Monopoly where you built skyscrapers, industries, sewage works, schools, prisons and what not, but it was fun! Especially since I won! Moahaha!

Marie came to Maida Vale today to have dinner with me at the Thai Rice Restaurant. Jeremy joined us and we went to The Elgin first for a glass of wine. It was a great dinner except the fact that I got a piece of bone in my vegetarian Massamun Curry at the Thai Rice place.. It was a pleasant day though, which ended in a big confusion in Bayswater were we had been told there would be a lot of cosy cool bars, but we couldn't find a single one on that road! Me and Jeremy had fun anyway, despite all the walking, all the silly sport bars, ignorant (or plain stupid) bartenders and rude Danish people.. haha!

Sometimes I really suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder tendencies, I think it is important to have everything structured and well organised around me. But in the end I never have the energy to actually keep it up... and the more things that actually needs getting done the more lazy I get and I end up doing nothing at all.. The other day though, I got a craving for cleaning and started organising and rearranging all the cabinets of our kitchen! That felt good...

THE CROBAR

I went to see a movie with Jeremy today. We were actually supposed to go to The Vue and see "500 days of summer" but we couldn't find the cinema at Leicester Square! So we ended up at the Odeon instead and saw The Proposal, which was pretty entertaining for a typical cliché romantic comedy. I like Sandra Bullock!

Later we ended up at The Crobar, which is one of my favourites in London, since it is a genuine rock bar. They even have a jukebox where you can pay £1 to hear 3 songs of all the classic old rock/grunge/punk songs! Since I'm not too big of a fan of Megadeath, Maiden and such, I always end up choosing QUOTSA or Nirvana.

At The Crobar we met a couple of German guys that evening, and we shared 2 jugs of Long Island Ice Tea with them discussed Whiskey all night long. It was a pleasant evening!

LONDON TEATIME

Today I met up with Marie at Regent's Street. We had a nice walk and talked and had lunch at a 'Garden' Restaurant close by, not much of a Garden, only some flowers around the signs, but I guess that's as good as it gets in central London ;D

London Architecture is just amazing. Too bad everything is so dirty and just falling apart...

The day ended with a 5 hour long tea-time with Marie at Sacred Café. It was lovely!

Met Marie for a lunch today at Roma's café. I have missed Roma's café, but of course not as much as I have missed Marie! She told me all about her stay in Argentina and shared opinions about the wonderful school we are studying at...

Later I had dinner with Olga and Ewa at Wagamama, a Japanese restaurant. The food was good, but Marie was right, way too child-friendly! Kids everywhere, and even babies, and they were all screaming like it was a competition!! But it was nice to see Olga & Ewa again.
